Never Land - The Sisters of Mercy

This is a brilliant track. It was featured in season 5 of American Horror Story (Hotel), which had a great soundtrack. It was perfectly dark and full of eeriness, which only did the plot justice. But this song stood out the most for me. Maybe because it was the song in the background of the scene where someone gets anally raped and O.Ds on heroin (that tends to be memorable), but also because of the song itself. The introduction gives a rich, bass sound that quakes everything under the skin and makes your intestines vibrate. Its unearthing, the melody carries itself in between the high treble fuzzy beat, exploding only at the high pitched, kaleidoscopic jingles. The whole thing only gets more creepy and demonic after the voice comes in, and it's terror inducing. It digs under your skin and shakes your bones, itches the insides of your ears and sends goosebumps creeping over your body.
